Personal AI Assistant Backup
A personal utility that uses rclone to store and verify encrypted recovery archives in the owner's Google Drive. It is operated for one account owner.
What the utility does
- Creates recovery archives of the owner's assistant deployment and encrypts them with age before uploading.
- Uploads the encrypted archives to a configured backup folder in the owner's Google Drive.
- Downloads uploaded archives to check their integrity and support recovery.
The private decryption key is kept separately on the owner's recovery device.
Google Drive access
The utility requests the full Google Drive OAuth permission needed by the current rclone configuration. This permission can cover files beyond the backup folder. The backup runner is configured to operate within one folder; that configuration is not a folder-level restriction on the OAuth token itself.
Control of backups
The owner controls Google authorization and the stored backup files. Revoking authorization stops future access using that grant; it does not delete existing archives. Automated archive deletion is not currently enabled.
Privacy and support
